The Transformer race has, for millennia, been discussed and argued by many a Cybertronian historian, Philosopher and Academic. Due to the turbulent nature of Cybertronian history, factual evidence concerning its past is scarce. One notable Decepticon Historian commented at the time that "There is less information in all the circuitry of Cybertron than on one page of a primitive fleshling's book".
Also, Cybertronian history seems to have even more difficulty making sense based upon the existence of Dimensional rifts (see "Dimensional Rifts") which further complicate matters.
However, from the cores of crumbling computers such as Vector Sigma to recent research methods and discoveries by Maximal and Predacon Scientists, some generalised ideas and notions exist today.
