| HUMAN. |
[Jan. 19th, 2004|03:37 pm] |
A bipedal and organic race, smaller than the Transformers. A native of the planet Earth. Cybertronian records list many humans, throughout history who have helped and hindered the Transformers, from the Beast Wars to the end of the Great War. However, it seems some catastrophe occurred, causing the planet Earth to all but be destroyed. The planet underwent a regeneration (possibly with the help of the Vok) and is now known as "Gaia".
However, there are no confirmations as to the existence or whereabouts of humans in the present day. The only fact is that Humanity fled in many spacecraft prior to the catastrophe.
Note: The Vok seem eager to protect humanity and some have surmised that the frequent exposure to Transformers at various parts of their history resulted in the aforementioned catastrophe. Perhaps exponential technological advancement (Gundams, etc) led to war, or perhaps, as some think, the loss of natural energon on earth eventually destroyed it.

| HELLSCREAM. |
[Jan. 19th, 2004|03:21 pm] |
After Starscream unsuccessful attempted to posses Waspinator in Earth's past in the Beast Wars, he eventually was given a new form in the future, by Galvatron in the second Beast Wars on Gaia. After being reformatted from a Predacon plane and given the form of a cybernetic shark, Starscream became Hellscream.
"I'll be back, even if it takes me a thousand years!" was Starscream's curse to the Maximals, and it seems that he is here to stay. Hellscream still even posesses his flight ability in shark mode. |

| HEADMASTER |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:56 pm] |
Any Transformer that has a smaller robot or other being (like a human) that transforms into the Robot's head. Headmasters enjoy the simbiotic thought processes of two beings in robot mode and can make better judgements in battle. However, the Head unit can detach at any point, forcing the robot into its alternate mode. When in this mode, the Transformer's impulse centre is downloaded into the alternate mode. |

| GUNDAM |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:54 pm] |
Mankind fought many civil wars in their own star systems using Gundam Mobile Suits. These mechs, made from an extremely tough alloy known as Gundaminium, enabled their pilots to manuver robotic suits that rivalled the strength of a Transformer. To this day, Transformer scientist are trying to find ways of creating Gundaminium and installing it in future bots.

| GROUPINGS/ SUB-FACTIONS |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:52 pm] |
Apart from the obvious main divisions in Transformer society of Cybetronian and Destronger (or Cybertron and Destron), Transformers are sometimes referred to in specific groups, regardless of their loyalties. Examples of these groupings include the Dinobots, Constructicons, Insecticons and Throttlebots.

| GRIMLOCK |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:48 pm] |
Underwent the technorganic change(from Autobot to Maximal) at the beginning of the Maximal formation with the promise of exploration and action. Although he feels 'demoted' to the form of a velociraptor"(Which was based upon the Maximal known as Dinobot), Grimlock's strength and combat skill are still the same as ever. Grimlock's knowledge of prehistoric Earth was invaluable in the Beast Wars, helping Prime to scout the area at a more efficient rate. Grimlock was given the form of a velociraptor because the Maximals had no schematics a T-Rex at the time his stasis pod crash-landed on Earth. Therefore, the only dinosaur schematics that they could offer him were that of a velociraptor. Currently, it is believed that Grimlock leads, still in Velocirapor mode, a new group of Dinobots on Cybertron, comprising of both Maximal and Autobots. |

| GREAT WAR, THE. |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:41 pm] |
The Great War (or GW) started millions of years before even the Dinosaurs began life on Earth and officially ended when the Autobots were in control of Cybertron(although most agree that it went on for a period after that). It started several millions of years when the Transformer race fought and won their independence from their Quintesson masters (see Origins of the Transformer Race).

| GOBOTRON |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:34 pm] |
Home world of the Gobots. Gobotron is not as large or dense as Cybertron as their knowledge of energy to matter technology is not as good as Cybertrons'. |

| GOBOT |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:30 pm] |
A transforming mechanoid, similar in appearance to a Cybertronian. Cybertron enjoys a mutual trade agreement with the Gobots and representatives can be found on both Cybertron and on their similar planet of Gobotron.
The Gobot race does not require a large amount of energy to power it, as most transformations are basic. Gobots also can siphon off a portion of their energy and direct it through their arms, using them as weapons. Gobotron exchanged their schematics with Cybertron (Jetfire's schematic was originally Gobotronian). Thus, Gobots and Transformers share schematics. This schematic proved to be cost effective and some Transformers, utilising a Gobotronian schematic will sometimes be called a Gobot, out of respect to their cousins. Indeed, some Gobotronians have even joined the ranks of the Autobots and Decepticons by the time of the Great War.
However, it is thought by some that Gobots are a substandard form of Transformer (especially amongst the Destrons). Therefor, "Gobot" is sometimes used as a curse by the more loose-tongued members of Cybertronian society. This is a problem that still needs to be rectifyed. |

| Generation 2 |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:29 pm] |
1/ During the Great War, many Transformers gained alternative forms or paint jobs. These were to either fit in line with current changes to their alternative form's appearance (like a poplar car model gaining a new popular paint job or body-kit), or because of repair jobs that used alternative practices or materials. Many Transformers were unhappy with some of their new looks after a period of time, and just prior to the events leading to the destruction of Unicron, they had their original schematics changed back. After Unicron's death, many of these same Transformers underwent all sorts of other reformats (i.e. Bumblebee becoming Goldbug, etc), so it is believed by outside scholars that Transformers regulary update and reconfigure themselves (which is true).
2/ A reference to the “2nd Generation” of Transformers, calling themselves “Cybetronian, or referred to scientifically as "G2" Transformers. |

| FORGOTTEN HEROES |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:27 pm] |
The Great War, the Beast Wars and the Beast Machines saga have all been thought to have recorded with certain facts missing. As has been stated, the factual accounts themselves given to historians by different Transformers, gives only a partial view of who did what or where during these periods of time.
For example, it is widely known that the events recorded in the first Beast Wars omitted many other Transformers from its data tracks. Maximals such as Orchanoch and Magnaboss and Predacons including Laserbeak and Manterror, not to mention the Beast Wars "Mutants"(forever trapped in two different animal modes, but no robot one) have not been mentioned, but it is a fact that they played their part.
However, new evidence is coming to light after the Beast Machines Saga, placing these heroes and villans in thier correct sections in Cybertron's history. |

| FIREBUGS |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:26 pm] |
Fire-loving and fire-causing mechanoids from Furnacia. After thier home world burnt itself out, the Firebugs left and landed on the ice planet of Thessin. Almost wiped out and considered extinct, the Transformers encountered one on Earth during the Great War. After being captured, it was released on the planet Mercury, happy to do as it wished. |

| ENERGON-CHIP |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|04:03 pm] |
1/This is a small black square piece of special cybetronian alloy that can reveal a Transformer's true aligance. It is normally kept hidden because it also includes a Transformer's personal core programs. Energon-chips will glow in the presence of a large amount of energon and will change colour, revealing the insignia of the faction it belongs to. Security scanners, incorporated in buildings or systems such as 'auto-guns' will detect for a transformer's energon-chip in this way.
Many Transformers show their insignia on their bodies. However in a non-war-like situation and for better disguise (especially when the Transformer's mode is that of an organic creature), some transformers don't show their insignia at all. Therefore, the Maximals and Predacons mainly favour the use of Energon-chips to show aligiance only.
Recently, however, some Transformers that have their spark crystals on display on the exterior of their forms have forgone the need of an energon-chip. This is because the spark crystal also reveals the user's true aligiance.
2/ A device created from energon that allows a Transformer to create weapons or other devices out of energon. |

| ENERGON |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:43 pm] |
Energon is the energy that Transformers need to transform. Appearing in crystals (and free-flowing "Plasma Energy") in its raw form and cubes in its processed form, Energon is comprised of densely compacted arrangements of local energy sources. For example, Transformers can fill Energon batteries with an energy source (i.e.: electricity, oil or solar rays) and them compact them to form life sustaining Energon cubes.
Energon, in its raw form is highly dangerous to unprotected Transformers however. In this state, a Transformer will be overloaded by Energon and go into immediate stasis lock, if exposed for a certain period of time (in the case of Plasma Energy, the effect is instant). The only effective treatment is an infusion of fresh (and processed) Energon or treatment in a CR tank.
The most viable prevention of stasis lock in the presence of raw Energon is for a Transformer to be cybernetically altered to include organic tissue with its makeup. Organic tissue is completely immune to raw Energon's effects and Cybertronian technology has, over the years taken advantage of this fact. Transformers that utilize organic tissue in their structures include "Pretenders" "Target/Head/Power Masters" and the Beast Wars Maximals and Predacons.

| DUEL ALLIEGIANCE. |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:41 pm] |
Some transformers have switched sides during the various wars on Cybertron. Some, however hold office in two or more factions (such as Grimlock, who is a Maximal and an Autobot). |
|
|
| DOUBLE-DEALER |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:39 pm] |
A cunning Transformer who operated in both the Great War and present day, Doubledealer is a Powermaster. Able to change his appearance to either a Decepticon or an Autobot, Doubledealer has two engines, incorporating a Nebulan for his Autobot guise and a Destron for his Decepticon one. Doubledealer is a bounty hunter with few morals however, and will readily switch sides whenever a greater amount of credits are promised. A swindler and no mistake. |

|
| DINOZAUR or DINOFORCE |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:34 pm] |
These were a group of transforming Mechanoids from an unknown planet. They visited Earth just before the Maximals crashed there.
Able to transform into prehistoric animals, the Dinozaurs suffered from stasis lock when a huge catastrophy destroyed most of the life on Earth. Reduced to their endoskeletons, they became reanimated in the 1990's following the arrival of their enemy "Dino-Dragon" and his "Dragozaurs".
Upon defeating him, the Dinozaurs left Earth, free to explore the Galaxy. |

| DINOBOT , MAXIMAL HERO. |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:30 pm] |
Few Predacons have shown as much honour in battle as Dinobot. After switching sides to the Maximals in the Beast Wars, Dinobot sacrificed himself to save humanity. Even his Transmetal 2 clone remembered his former self's sense of honour and he too sacrificed himself to save the Maximals, Autobots and Decepticons in the Ark during the Beast Wars. Today, he is respected by all factions for his deeds. |

| DINOBOT/CON |
[Jan. 16th, 2004|03:19 pm] |
tasks. This group, comprised of Transformers who all share the similar secondary modes of Dinosaurs will normally enjoy a fair amount of brute strength and will favour hand to hand combat above shooting (especially in beast mode).
Although there is no training academy as such, Dinobots/cons will normally be seen as tough, yet somewhat simplistic Transformers. However, many Dinobot teams include one or two reformatted Transformers from other groups for scouting and other tasks (i.e. Swoop or Laserbeak being examples of Transformers from the Airialbots/cons). |
